"We recorded 16 songs at Big Nice Studio in November 2021. There was talk of releasing it all as a double album, but cooler heads prevailed. These four songs hang together well, so we lopped them off to make an EP. The rest are being mixed for an upcoming LP.

I wrote these songs while I was living alone in a family cabin in Vermont, during the early months of the COVID pandemic. They’re all about the pursuit of a perfect, heavenly feeling—the kind of dreamy fantasy that hooks you hard but is always a little out of reach. They’re glued together by two transition tracks (3 and 6), both with audio pulled from an old cassette tape recording of my parent’s wedding."
